Training weekly at Game Arena in Columbus, Senior Esports USA operates as a robust, holistic health-led initiative. While a final competition team of six to ten players will be selected in August, all participating seniors are vital members of the team, receiving comprehensive health education and benefits. To deliver this elite training, the foundation has curated a network of premier national and international experts across sports performance, medicine and wellness.

"It is incredibly meaningful for these seniors to represent the United States at the Global Esports Games during America's 250th anniversary, proving that gaming has no boundaries," said Dr. Melita N. Moore, Vice President of the Global Esports Federation and founder of the Health-e-Gamer Foundation. "We aren't just preparing for a match; we are creating a global movement by providing our seniors with a 'Road To Gold' training program unlike anything that's been done before, allowing them to shatter stigmas. Digital literacy is the new civil right, and this initiative ensures no one is left behind as society shifts into a digital-first world."

Senior Esports USA combines competitive gaming with critical wellness pillars designed to promote healthy aging, digital literacy and digital equity. Beyond Rocket League training, participants receive coaching focused on physical and cognitive health, nutrition, emotional intelligence and mental wellness. By blending high-performance athletic support with digital education, the program serves as a powerful global model for healthy aging, social connectivity, and digital equity.

Community partnerships have helped launch the initiative and continue preparing the team for competition. Current partners include Levels Unlocked Enterprises, Esports Foundry, Game Arena, the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, the Franklin County Office on Aging and the City of Columbus.

As training continues, the Health-e-Gamer Foundation is seeking additional community and corporate sponsors to support player development, meals, digital tools and software, athletic equipment, venue access and travel accommodations for Senior Esports USA.
